McMaster Museum of Art is delighted to announce our Culture Days 2018 programmes.
These include a tour, a peek behind-the-scenes, and a painting workshop. Activities are offered as part of the the N. Gillian Cooper Education Program.
Participation is free, but space is limited. Registration is required.
Friday, September 28, 12-1 pm
Join us for a lunchtime tour of 2017 Sobey Art Award winner Ursula Johnson’s exhibition Mi’kwite’tmn (Do You Remember). Following will be a unique chance to go behind-the-scenes and visit the Museum’s new and improved vaults.
Saturday, September 29, 1-4 pm
Join us for a step-by-step 3 hour lesson to recreate a painting. Workshop will be led by Hamilton Artist and McMaster Fine Art alumna, Rachel Sullivan. Light refreshments provided.
Culture Days is a collaborative coast-to-coast-to-coast volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. The McMaster Museum of Art participates annually with tours and artmaking activities, related to what is on view in the galleries.
