Please join McMaster University Library for a talk by Dr. William Hanley, Professor, Department of French, on the career and influence of distinguished McMaster scholar, Pierre Conlon (1924-2014) whose research helped to re-energize and revolutionize eighteenth-century French studies.

Guests are invited to attend a reception following this talk, and will have the opportunity to explore The Age of Enlightenment: the Pierre Conlon Book Collection, an exhibition focusing on selected books from Professor Conlon’s extensive personal collection, now housed in McMaster’s William Ready Division of Archives and Research Collections. The exhibition is a tribute to Pierre Conlon’s extraordinary scholarship and his contribution to McMaster University.
