This weekend we celebrated another amazing graduating art student exhibition (aka the Summa show) at McMaster. Thank you to the more than 400 guests who joined us for the event and congratulations to everyone involved.
At the reception, five McMaster students received special recognition:

Inspired by Art
Two McMaster undergraduate students received awards for their submissions to the Museum’s new writing contest, Inspired by Art. Entries were inspired by exhibitions or specific works of art on view at the Museum during the last academic year.
Writing Award for poetry:

A Crewman’s Reflections on the View from the Ice in Cook’s Second Voyage
(based on art work in First Contact?: Artists of the Cook Voyages exhibition)
Writing Award for essay:
Brianna Smrke, Arts and Science
Élan Vital: A Strange Attractor (based on Ramona Ramlochand’s installation)
