Exceptional Works from 12 Hamilton & Region Private Collections
MAY 21 – AUGUST 1, 2015
SATURDAY, MAY 30, 2 – 4 P.M.
The McMaster Museum of Art invited twelve collectors from Hamilton and Region to participate in a unique exhibition. Each was asked to consider and nominate one or two works from their collection that exemplify a personal passion for art and culture.
“I am thrilled and honoured that these informed collectors in our community have agreed to share their exceptional collections with us this summer – works of enormous personal and cultural significance,” says the Museum’s Director and Chief Curator Carol Podedworny.
The assembled group of works offers an intriguing range of contemporary Canadian and Inuit artists, international historical and contemporary works, as well as remarkable early 19th century furniture.
