Culture Days is a collaborative coast-to-coast-to-coast volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. The McMaster Museum of Art participates annually with tours and artmaking activities, related to what is on view in the galleries.
This year, the McMaster Museum of Art invites you to join guided tours of the Takao Tanabe retrospective exhibition, Chronicles of Form and Place. The Canadian artist is perhaps best known for his landscape paintings and after researching the evolution of Tanabe’s signature style, the Museum’s Education team Nicole Knibb and Teresa Gregorio designed a complementary activity. Following the tour, visitors will be provided with materials and guided instruction for an outdoor landscape drawing activity, weather permitting.
These events are FREE and open to the General Public.
For more info contact Nicole Knibb, Education Coordinator 905-525-9140, ext. 27576
