The event kicked off with opening remarks and insights from Don Goellnicht, Professor in English and Cultural Studies and Director of the Institute on Globalization and the Human Condition; Sheila Sammon, Professor in Social Work and Director of Community Engagement; the exhibition’s co-curators, McMaster Professors Sarah Brophy and Janice Hladki; and the Museum of Art Director Carol Podedworny.
