Here’s Teresa Gregorio, Information Officer at the McMaster Museum of Art, talking about A Glove series, 1881, by German artist Max Klinger’s (1857-1920). In the portfolio of ten etchings, Max Klinger traces the journey of a single white glove in a nightmarish landscape where the glove consumes the mind of the man who first found it at a roller skating rink.
McMaster Museum of Art owns this series and it is on view at McMaster until August 17, 2013 in the exhibition, MAX KLINGER, JOHN MASSEY and JOSEPH CALLEJA: the glove, the car and the mirror.
