McMaster Museum of Art Welcomes New Communications Officer Jeff Jung Sing Chow

July 11, 2025

McMaster Museum of Art Welcomes New Communications Officer Jeff Jung Sing Chow

The McMaster Museum of Art is excited to welcome Jeff Chow (he/they) to the team as our new Communications Officer! Jeff joined the museum on July 3 and will be with us in this role through August 2026.

Jeff is a communications and marketing specialist, and a graduate of the M.A. program in English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University. He brings a wealth of experience in arts administration, event management, and communications through previous roles with the McMaster Registrar’s Office and artist-run centres in the Hamilton area.

Q: What’s your favourite thing about Hamilton and the McMaster community?

Jeff: The people — they’re genuinely welcoming. From my time as a grad student to my current role as staff, I’ve always appreciated that sense of community.

Q: What drew you to the McMaster Museum of Art?

Jeff: I’ve been visiting the M(M)A since my student days — often during lunch breaks or downtime. I love that McMaster has a public gallery right on campus that offers free, accessible, and dynamic exhibitions and programming.

Q: What are some creative things you’re involved in, on or off campus?

Jeff: Outside of McMaster, I’m a radio DJ at the campus station 93.3 CFMU. I also co-founded a collective called Places, where we organize DJ and music digging workshops, panel discussions, and events. Our goal is to make DJing more accessible and foster it as a social and cultural practice.

Please join us in welcoming Jeff Jung Sing to the museum!
