The McMaster Museum of Art is pleased to present a virtual exhibition of art by the emerging artists who graduated from McMaster’s BFA programme in Spring 2020. We were very disappointed that we could not present their work in our galleries due to the pandemic, but invite you to enjoy their art, their artist talks, and statements now online via the link above and be sure to cast your vote for the Peoples Choice Award winner by September 30.

Over the past four years, this class of 16 individuals came together to learn, create, and understand one another in both artistic and personal settings. They supported each other as they delved into new directions in their respective practices, across a wide range of media from clay and paint to digital and sound art. Throughout, they worked collaboratively to develop and curate exhibitions, notably the ambitious 2018 spring fashion show, Renovate My Body.

SUMMA 2020 invitation

Congratulations to the class of 2020 on this major milestone!

A printed exhibition catalogue is also available. Thank you to all of the McMaster BFA graduation class sponsors including:
