The McMaster Museum of Art boasts the most comprehensive German and European expressionist collection in Canada. Our current exhibition, Living Building Thinking: art & expressionism is an opportunity to share works from this collection. In addition to selected German Expressionist art of the 19th century, it features its precursors and successors to the present day.
As a complement to the exhibition, the Museum has begun a series of brief artist’s bio videos (1 – 2 minutes) with MMA’s Teresa Gregorio, featuring images of selected works in McMaster’s collection.
We invite you to review the Expressionist Signature Series Playlist, thus far, on the Museum’s Youtube channel.
