The McMaster Museum of Art invites you to the Opening Reception for the exhibition Coyote School, an exhibition curated by Rhéanne Chartrand (Aboriginal Curatorial Resident), featuring selected works by eight Indigenous artists: Joi Arcand, Sonny Assu, Jason Baerg, Jordan Bennett, Christian Chapman, Amy Malbeuf, Meryl McMaster, Ehren “Bear” Thomas.
Thursday, June 8, 6 – 8 pm
6:30 pm Opening Remarks by Elders and the exhibition Curator
7 pm Musical Performance by acclaimed, emerging Indigenous artist, Jeremy Dutcher. Classically trained operatic tenor, Jeremy blends his Wolastoq First Nation roots into the contemporary music he creates. He is currently working on his debut release ‘Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa’.
