On January 21, the gallery was full to capacity and the audience spellbound as artist Elizabeth Doxtater spoke about her personal history and healing, traditional Haudenosaunee stories and culture, and the research and process involved in the creation of her dioramas now on view in the exhibition Art of Peace.
A recording of the event, divided into two videos―the artist’s formal talk and the informal Q&A that followed―is now available. Enjoy!
The exhibition and related events are presented in partnership with McMaster’s Indigenous Studies Program as part of the University’s Perspectives on Peace initiative.
